About Respect Her Game Hoops
About Us
Respect Her Game Hoops is a non-profit organization founded by Déja Rawls, dedicated to empowering young female athletes through competitive basketball, leadership development, and community engagement.
What began as Déja’s passion for the game has grown into a mission to help young women embrace self-expression, confidence, and purpose both on and off the court. She believes that true empowerment extends beyond athletic performance — it’s reflected in how athletes lead, communicate, and carry themselves in every aspect of life.
Since its founding in 2023, Respect Her Game Hoops has served over 400 athletes across the East Coast, providing opportunities for advanced skill development, mentorship, and academic growth. Over the past year, our athletes have proudly represented the organization in numerous community and competitive events, including Philly vs. New York, Mamba Day, Unrivaled Basketball, 2Klutch Camp with Kahleah Copper and Keisha Hampton, Philly Youth Basketball, Roots Picnic, Quad City Classic by the Philadelphia Black Basketball Hall of Fame, Crestmont Park Summer Basketball League, She Elite League, Hilltop Summer Basketball League, Finley Recreation Center Summer Basketball League, Devin M. Gold Basketball Tournament, All-City Classic, Lonnie Young Summer League, Philadelphia All-American Game, Danny Rumph Classic, Different Mindset Camp and Mid-Range Morris Girls Middle School Classic.
At Respect Her Game Hoops, we are committed to developing well-rounded athletes — fostering leadership, academic success, and personal growth while advocating for equity and opportunity in women’s sports.
